Military collection for sale

Part of the Soldier & Spy collection

Here’s the story so far: About two years ago we acquired many thousands of books on military history and technology from the estate of a retired Pentagon scientist; he had apparently moved to our area decades before and become a semi-hermit at the top of a dirt road way back on one of the river tributaries. The books – paperback and hardcover – were filthy but otherwise in reasonable condition, and we’ve been cleaning, sorting and shelving as we had time and space available.

We currently have more than 3,500 volumes available in what we’ve come to call our Soldier & Spy collection, plus boxes of maps and technical manuals. There are a few rare volumes and lots of the essential titles that military collectors require. Together, they would make an extraordinary centerpiece for a military bookstore.
